100 again!

Went out today and it was hot! I knew it was going to be in the high 90's but seeing the 101 at a couple of banks really makes it hot. But it's the dry hot and that's much better than humid hot. Lucky me I live in Albuquerque!!
So I went on the Rail Runner today for a ride out north. It wasn't any better there. Just as hot as here. So I came back home and walked about a quarter mile to the library and was very hot when I got into the building. Cooled down now. will stay here till it closes, in a couple of hours. Hopefully by then it'll be much cooler!! Who am I fooling? It'll probably be just as hot. Yesterday it was 96 degrees at 8 pm so I don't expect it to cool down much.
I think our dogs are now offically 'hot dogs.' Poor things. They spent the day outdoors. They have a tree to lie under and they usually dig a hole to keep cool. They don't like to stay indoors during the day as they will miss whatever goes on outside. In the early morning hours they know when the hot-air balloons are up around the house. they and the other neighbor dogs enjoy barking at them until they go down or fly out of sight. Every weekend this goes on. No time to sleep in on the weekends in our neighborhood!!!

Help Bob out, please!

One of my favorites!!

It's Still June, Guess What?

It's still June and I am actually putting something new on the blog. Nothing too exciting though. Just had to say something so that people know that I am still alive. Juella had trouble with her car. It was the brakes and I told her she needs to get them fixed before she doesn't have any. So her boyfriend fixed them yesterday. They were pretty bad but he got it done. Now she's glad she doesn't have to listen to all that noise it had been making the past few days. We even took a drive to the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Albuquerque. It was busy but not as much as I thought it would. It's different than the last time I was there. Back then it was the Isleta Casino. I thought they would keep some of the Isleta things in there but they took it all out. But the Pueblo will be making money off of Hard Rock with the deal they made with them. It's going to take some time to listen to that loud rock music. I don't have anything against rock music but it's how loud they think they have to play it.
Our 100 degrees is gone but it's still hot. But a good hot. No humidity. I am glad that we don't have too much humidity. Friends just returned from Nashville and they weren't happy with the humidity there. I am glad I stayed home!!

100

It's 100 degrees here in Albuquerque. Too hot to post any pictures!!! I was trying to stay out of the heat but my brother decided to injure is leg. Gotta go rescue him. I am not sure what he did. He either did it while riding his bike or it happened at the fairgrounds, at the race track. My nephew is going to pick up his bike. I have to go get my niece from work before going to get my brother. I am using my niece's car and it's got no air conditioning. But that's ok. We're Navajos and we grew up without such things. At least the windows can go down in the car, otherwise we'd be complaining.
I gotta get back to my radio trivia before hitting the road.

This is my niece and her friend. I think this was around the time of her birthday because she got a new game thing. Or maybe someone was just being nice and gave her one at another time.

And then there's one of the dog, Momo. Juella's dog.
And then there's one of the NM RailRunner that runs from Belen to Santa Fe. Been on it a couple of times. Mostly to Bernalillo. One day I'll make it all the way to Santa Fe. Fun.

It's Already June 3rd

It's been awhile since I've visited here. I read other blogs, though. I thought I would try harder to keep up with this and all that fun stuff. Let's see how I do!! It's just that I am pretty busy with other things. I don't know how people do it, those that seem to be loaded down with things in their life. How can one work 2 or 3 jobs, take care of the family, take time to read, watch TV and still have a couple of hours in the day for themselves??? I can't seem to do any of that in a day. Just one job will do if I have to do the other things. I am out doing fun things and will try to post some pictures of those fun things I do.
To start off, I wanted to see how this picture shows up (as I am writing I have no idea). It's the Sandia Mountains, not sure when I took it, but this is one of the fine days I had a chance to take a picture of it. I have tons of pictures of all kinds of things. Hope to share some, if I remember how to put them up. It takes time for my brains to get in gear. I can sit for hours at the computer and wonder what I am trying to do.
