Bright Sun, Blue Skies

Lately we've had lots of wind. There are fires down in southern New Mexico as well. Weather people were saying how we're going to get the smoke from the fires for a few days. So it happened!! Friday we woke up to smoky skies!! The sun wasn't as bright and there was no blue in the skies!! Made for a sad day. It remained that way most of the day. As the afternoon rolled upon us, the smoke seemed to build up more. I think about that time, or it was the day before, these 'dumb' boys decided they were going to start a fire in the Manzano Mountains!!! They're like 17-18 year olds. They said they got lost and started the fire so they can be found. People were saying that they were just plain stupid because they were half a mile from town (nearest). And they were shown on the news and they just laughed about the whole thing. I think they did go there to start one to see what would happen. Dummies, because they knew the winds were blowing pretty hard that day. Hope their parents make them help pay for the damages. They said they are going after the parents to pay for this fire. About $10,000.
Anyway, back to the story I started. Let's see, so Friday afternoon into evening it just looked terrible out there. And now you could smell the smoke, too. It wasn't as bad as last year when we got all that smoke from the Arizona fire. Saturday morning when I got up, I went outside and was surprised to see the bright blue skies and bright sunshine upon us!! Wow, it was beautiful. What a wonderful day. Then the winds picked up in the early afternoon and you could see the smoke coming in from the west. Earlier in the day you could see the smoke in the western skies, way far from the city. But as the afternoon went on, the smoke came towards us. By sunset, we had the smoky skies once again. That wind was blowing pretty hard, too. I could hear things being blown around, blown down the street, etc. The weather people kind of exaggerated the story a bit about the winds. They were saying how people had to stay indoors on this holiday weekend. They were wrong as I was out and about and so were hundreds, even thousands of people. People shopping here and there, eating here and there and just out having a fun Saturday. They (weather people) must have visited some other small town or something. Well, the smoke was still in the sky when I went to bed. This morning I woke up to another bright blue sky and bright sun shining upon the city. Thanks to the winds for blowing all that smoke away from here. It's now after noontime and the skies are still bright blue and the sun is pretty much baking us.
Hope those firefighters can start to get a hold of that fire down south.
Well, I think Heavenly Father has something to do with this. The fire was started by lightning. And a few weeks ago there were reports of how our enemies were going to attack our country. I think Heavenly Father said, "No way, Jose!" Now the fires are going on, where are the enemies gonna attack us when they can't start those fires? Just sayin' . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Prayers do get answered!
